Hitting the news frequently, Kamal Haasan’s Marmayogi is finally ready to begin shooting on Sep 25, 2008. The shooting will begin at Sedhusamudhram Falls. With Kamal and Trisha playing the lead roles, Shriya Saran had agreed to play the role of second heroine.
AR Rahman had been roped in to score the music and two songs have already been completed.
The film has got Hema malini in a negative role. Other biggies in talk to be roped in includes Amitabh Bachchan and Venkatesh. Seeing her performance in previous films, we think Trisha would have to work hard to throw any decent performance.
Marmayogi is a production JV by Raajkamal Films and Pyramid Saimira. We can see the production cost of Marmayogi (a whooping Rs. 120 Cr) making the news more often. And also one can easily observe this competition in production budget taking place unfortunately among Indian films. Should not the quality, story, performance or crew be a topic of discussion instead of talking on this rat race, say between Marmayogi and Robot? Let the budget be 120 crore rupees or a meager 2 lakhs – so what?All we need is a quality entertainment which is worth spending a few hours. We hope Kamal Haasan would be able to deliver it with his experience and expertise.
